Day 8 - Olumo Rock and Fabric Market

On Saturday we drove to Olumo Rock where the Egba people of the Yoryba hid in the 1800's during the inter tribal wars. During this trip we learned from our tour guide what Abeokuta means "under the rock"! Olumo Rock is the highest point of Abeokuta (137 mts above the sea level). The view from the top was amazing you can see the whole city and the Ogun river.

After our tour of Olumo Rock we went to the Local Fabric Market where each of us were looking for some fabric that we could wear in our final presentation.
